Michele and Jorge have known each other for a very long time. Michele is a college professor who teaches astronomy/physics and co-directs a planetarium outreach program. She has an MS in Physics and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Washington State University. Jorge has his BS in Animal Science from Colorado State University and is a general contractor. He is originally from Colombia, but he and Michele live in Spokane, Washington. Together, they have five kids, three grandchildren and a mutual desire to travel the world, learn other perspectives, and make new friends.

      I have flown tandem with Jorge many times before, but am typically just the ‘driver.’ I am hoping to be able to get a few tandem flights in when visit Brazil…
