It was back on the Cassiar this morning, as we headed toward Whitehorse. Still not many people, but lakes a plenty. Along the way, we stopped at Boya Lake – the most beautiful lake ever, and you know how much I love Lake Coeur d’Alene! The turquoise water looked just like the Caribbean and the Sun beating down on the dock called our names. Jorge dove first, but I wasn’t far behind him. We expected the water to be freezing, but the Sun was so hot that we were able to sunbath on the dock before hitting the road again. One more summer day before we face the fall of the northern territory.
We continued on our path, searching for the elusive caribou, toward Whitehorse in the Yukon Province. Believe it or not, we really haven’t seen much wildlife – an occasional bunny, no deer or elk, four bears and counting…
Day 5 – Best Western in Whitehorse…time to do a little laundry, take a shower, and have a draft beer.
